LED ignition trim ring mod...

I've spent an hour searching and google was no help at all. So if this is somewhere obvious that I have overlooked I apologize.

I know that I have seen a write up for changing the color in the ring that lights up around the ignition key switch. Can somebody point me towards it?

Thanx.

Here's the correct way:

I ended up cutting the end and soldering my blue LED to two wires and connecting that way.

I can't believe I'm saying this but if you want to ghetto rig this mod then just use the magic marker trick. The 74 bulb will not fade out the color for a long time so if your scared to solder then just use a magic marker. Should take all of 5 minutes to perform this mod the ghetto way.

LOL, I would not do it the ghetto way myself. I was throwning it out there as an alternative for the people scared to solder. Thanks for your props.
