Ground Control Coilovers with KYB AGX shocks. Fun setup.

Heck no! That's why i bought the car was for the liscense plate

Miles: It had 112,922, now has 115,000.

Ha, yes, the seat covers are OUT.

Future Mods: Right now as a broke 16 year old after buying a car, the mods will be slow for now. Planning on 18's as soon as i get the money. Its fast enough for me right now. Probably the first thing i'll do is get a Rear Sway bar to finish up the suspension part. Then maybe an ECU. Maybe further down the road i will do a katskin leather, but cloth is fine for now.

Thanks for all the comments, i'm glad people don't think i'm crazy for the drive. Btw, the plane tickets were 100$ a piece, c'mon, can you beat that?

What kind of a y-pipe? I was going to make the comment but NmexMAX beat me to it. Edit your list of mods accordingly. What is a Monster air filter?

There you are 1fstmax!

Its okay that most of the performance stuff was done already. I'm not much of a wrenchhead but can do most things. I suppose the expirience is worth it, but i couldn't turn down 3k in mods already on it. I will have plenty to do though.

Rmurdo: Its a warpspeed ypipe.

At first, i was expecting a lot of open roads with no one around. Even at 3am the California interstates were packed.

I had a radar dector for the trip and really didn't run into very many. We mainly just kept up with traffic. People in California drive like 20+ over speed limit anyways lol.

Got the car for 6500. I got to know the guy pretty good and he is a great guy. He's helped me out a lot so far on learning about the car and the mods.

It has Ground Control Coilovers and KYB AGX shocks. There's a mods list on page two, i forgot to add ypipe though.

wow you have a wonderful car. All lowered and modded to start with? You are one lucky Max owner! The only thing I would change is the tailpipe. It is aftermarket, but a little too small in circumference IMO. Otherwise, you have a sick ride!

I just love the ground efx on the Maxima99SE. I would be most greatful if you can pass on details of the ground efx. It also looks like the front bumper is different. I do not know if its true or not. Let me guys.

If you have any question regarding any security, radio, speakers, etc. I can anwer just about any question. Been in the business for about ten years. So feel free to send me email or post any questions you have.

I drove from California to El Paso Texas once, only stopped for gas and made it there 10 hrs later. I agree, you get a really cool scenery as you drive thru Arizona. Glad the Maxima handled the drive w/o any incidents.

Yeah.... the trip should be a blast.... I did drive from Minneapolis, MN then through Iowa - South Dakota - Wyoming - Colorado - Utah - tip of Arizona - Nevada then finally California. The most memorable thing was Utah (I-70 between Denver and Salt Lake City)..... did 115mph w/ cruise control for 1.5 hours - no police!!!!!

And the tip of Arizona on I-15..... what a contrast.... the highway passed through rocky mountains.. green before (from Utah) and desert after...

Boy, it was like 7 years ago..... man, I am too old for this forum looking at your age below 20

Yeah, the Drive in Utah was by far the best. But on the other hand, i was with my dad so i didn't get to cruise at 115 . But were you really able to set the cruise at 115? Because my cruise maxes out at 90 mph. Humm...

Yes I was.... not w/ my Max..... w/ my old '94 Diamante... that car was more comfortable and solid than max.... but no power despite more hp.

Video Link

Here is a vid driving through Utah and then through denver. I had a better one through the mountains but it got washed out. Kind of a boring video but its cool to see the contrast between the bare mountains of utah then to get into colorado! Enjoy

Thanks to liquidx for hosting the video.

Yeah..... I remember I went through that...

Yeah, it's boring... you should've posted video when you floored your car! Then, it's not boring anymore I always like to hear engine sound.... even though it's V6 (more cyl. better sound IMHO).... as long as not 4-cyl, the sound should be good.... :y

Heh, yeah, you don't know how bad i wanted to gun it through there. But my dad was with and he was driving at the time.

One part part i wish i was driving was when we were comming back from denver and someone held up a sign next to us that said "how fast?" , (Response to liscense plate) lol, it was pretty good. I so wanted to drop it into third and show them what a VQ sounds like

I guess i do have a video of me getting on it. hummm...maybe i'll post that for kicks...anyone like to see that?

Just curious.....why did you drive 2k miles to get a gold maxima with okay mods?
I mean, don't get me wrong....it looks pretty good, but that is a really long way just to get a maxima with one of the most common colors.

THere were pretty much none that i liked around South Dakota. I don't think that the pebble beige is all that common, i could be wrong. But i like the color. As far as mods, most were already done the way i planned anyways, so being 16 modding a car up to the mods it already has on it would take a very long time and take a lot of money i would've of had right after buying a car. Plus, the trip was so worth it . The length of the drive didn't bother me. It was waiting to get off the plane to go see it for the first time that was the killer.

i hear ya on that one....i'm 16 and have to pay $340/month on freaking insurance! i've had my car since sept. 04 and the biggest thing i've done is a drop (which isn't even on yet) I also had the anticipation factor like you....i was at school and my mom sent me a text message in class telling me she got my car...i had to sit through 4 hours of class while my new car was sitting at home needless to say, i hauled *** home and haven't been so happy in my entire life
in the end, the $340/month is completely worth it...
