in the end, the $340/month is completely worth it...
That's an very sweet car and to have it while in HS is even cooler! Heck, you've got a new max than my dad! . Very nice max though and good luck getting that drop on. It'll make a world of a difference. I'm VERY please on how my coilovers handle.

Yeah, hopefully. I still have to make plans to be for sure. Are you comming with your audi? Don't think its going to be a very big meet.

I mean, don't get me wrong....it looks pretty good, but that is a really long way just to get a maxima with one of the most common colors.
Plus I suspect given that he bought a California car he has the satisfaction of knowing its rust-free for years and who knows what kind of a car he would get in or around South Dakota given the winters there.

Yeah that was another thing i considered. I got to know the guy pretty good too. I talked to him a good 3 months before i bought it. I knew he took really good care of the car.

You're right, SD winters do suck. I do like the Pacesetter, but i'm not sure how long its going to last now through even a winter. So i'm planning on a different cattback next summer.

I recently made a similar trip, but not as far as South Dakota! I flew my wife and I and our two kids to Los Angeles to pick up this Maxima. I too had been looking for quite a while for the perfect one, wanted black leather and a 5 speed. The additional mods were a big bonus. We picked up the car at LAX at 8:30 am, we were at Disneyland at 10 am (I have a three year old, and he loved it!) We spent the night in anaheim and drove to Phoenix the next day. Went to a wedding on Friday, and on Saturday we drove to Las Vegas. Stayed the night there, and on Sunday we arrived in Idaho Falls, ID, almost 1500 miles later. It was an awesome trip, but kind of hard with a 3 year old and a 1 year old. I enjoyed the trip much more than my wife did! In all, it was VERY worth it! Love the car!

Yes, very nice maxima! That was quite a road trip. I would've liked to stop and do some stuff along the way like you did, but i was also very anxious to get the car home. Yes, and i bet with the children it was a bit difficult .

I did a few things when i got the car. Debadged the back, put tint on, going to install alpine 9835 soon, and took off seat covers.

This is a picture of the previous owner's, and I haven't taken any current ones. Unfortunately the 19" centerlines are gone, and it currently has black 18" adr wheels. It looks decent with the wheels it has, but I intend to pick up a set of Enkei Bortex RPM2 wheels in hyper silver. They are about 18lbs each, which, while not as light as those centerlines, will be much lighter than my current ADR setup.

I wish I would have gotten some fun pics along the way! I ran the entire way from Palm Springs with a guy in an 05 GS400 lexus (plates said "EDSLEXUS") between 100-120 mph. It was awesome. I followed him for about 150 miles (he had a V1 on his windshield) until he finally waved me by, and then I led for about 150 miles. Closer to phoenix we switched back and forth, I wish I would have gotten pictures of that car from mine. It was very fun. (PS, the wife was sleeping most of the time, and was unaware of the speed at which we were travelling! )
