Oil

My power steering is always going low. When I lokoed under the car of the passenger side theres oil by the lower control arm. What do you guys think? Once in a while my car smokes thinking its the oil getting onto the pipes causing it to smoke..Hopefully its nothing major. Car runs fine and no noises. So im assuming its not the engine block..hehe

Well ill be getting stillen brake kit,Replacing motor mounts lower control arms and new radiator.
My last mods for my max are : above..Custom leather seats new head reciever new viper alarm and nos.. Putting the max to a rest already..Just keeping it maintained..

It might just be a leaky PS hose... spray everything down with brake cleaner or whatever - to get rid of all the old oil.. then check to see where its dripping from.

I'd suggest you look into getting the power steering fixed and forget about the modding until your car is maintained properly, particularly given you need a new radiator, motor mounts, and control arms.

How many miles are on the vehicle? It strikes me that the mods may be a waste of money unless you intend to maintain the vehicle properly and keep it for a few years.

same problem here with a leaky ps.
I know where the leak is on mine and I hear it is a popular one with MAxima.

Under the hood right infront of radiator where the plastic PS hose attaches to PS cooler metal pipe.

I am hopefully taking care of that this weekend.

I have the same leak. The hoses aren't too expensive it's just a little difficult to get to them.
