DC Clear Install

Hey, a quick question. Anybody have any problems with the smaller lens piece popping out? The write up i saw said to put a washer to secure it. Is this necessary? I'm anxious to install em but dont have any washers.

If it's a little loose, just wrap some electrical tape around the little metal **** and jam it in there.

yea i did to. what i did was got some of that rubber weather stripping and stuck a 4" piece in the slot the light goes in. That puts pressure on the lens to the top and it holds in there like a pro.

If it's not loose you really don't need to do anything though. Mine came with new plastic things that go in the hole and I used those. Mine is pretty tight

when i got mine i figured i'd use the original plastic thingsthat hold it in. they worked just fine up until about a week ago when my left side smaller piece popped out and was hanging by a wire! i replaced the plastic thing with the one that came with the clears and no problem now. keep an eye on yours for a while and see if you need any extra modification

OMG that is precisely what I did!

It works perfect. With electrical tape wrapped around the inner hole, the aftermarket clear lens sits in there tighter than the OEM amber lens...at least in my car. Good thread!
