i hate auto trannies, thats all ill say to start !

so here is whats happening. the damn thing been slipping. at red lights, it doesnt move a lot of times when in D. i give it gas and it jumps into gear and i start moving. 2nd to 3rd gear changes are taking a lot of time. it feels like the car is in neutral for 2-3 seconds while going into 3rd and at the same time the rpm's rise up by a good 400 rpm during gear changes then drop back down.. it also feels like the car sometimes cant go into the next gear unless i give it more gas which causes a little jerk. and to say the least, the tranny is not smooth at all anymore. whats wrong with this damn tranny?? is it going??

40k miles on car... i rape it alot, yeah !

 

check the fluid for metal particles, and if the fluid is clean and not varnished, do a complete flush and put new fluid (dexron III)
