Anyone put Factory 5th gen HID's in their 4th gen?

I can get the parts fairly cheap so I am wondering if anyone has done this. If so can you show pictures and a write up if possible. Lastly is it the same size bulb 9004, and if its not will it fit without modification?

thank you !

no, cause my friend's 5th gen has 2 bulbs, one for high and one for low. which means its not a 9004. you're gonna have to do some heavy modding, why don't you spend the money n retro fit? unless the 5thgen is really really cheap

what i think he means by retro fit, is projector retro fit....in which you buy a project and put that inside the stock headlights.....allowing you to put HIDs in ur car w/o glare and with a nice cutoff. and if you get bi xenon projectors you can have ur high beams too. to go hidplanet.com and read the stickies.

Retro is the best way to go... you get more out of it.

This is for those who are thinking of a "kit".

Don't bother with trying to use 5th gen HID reflector based housing or bulbs and go with a D2S projector. You have lots of choices so follow maxgtr2000's lead and head on over to HIDPlanet and read up on retro fitting projectors into your headlights. I am using Audi RS6 Bi-Xenon projectors in my setup. Here is the thread link first showing my setup. http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=397144. I'm currently waiting for some supplies for an upcoming dual projector retro for someone using S2000 and halogen projectors.

Do you have the part numbers you used? the reason i want to do 5th gen HID is because i work for nissan and can get everything at cost.
