Projector

If I have projectors already in my stock lens, can I still bake the lens to open them up? I have E46 bixenons with solenoid inside the lens, nothing would melt or get screwed up?
If so, what degrees and for how long?
Inside of my lens looks horrible, I have to clean it before I put them on the car.
Please answer as fast as you can.

if your worried about melting parts inside your projectors, then use a heat gun, safer than baking your headlamps in the oven..IMO

set the over at 250 and it should be fine. the hid bulb burns hotter than that.

But what if a heat gun is not around? Oven is a bad idea?

For how long? Are you sure they won't melt?
After that just use a screw driver to seperate it?

what won't melt? the projectors? they're metal, you can't melt metal at 250*F.

the bi-xenon solenoid itself is not going to melt. the stock solenoid wires as i remember should be pretty thick. if your projector is using something thinner than the stock solenoid wires, then i would re-think it and invest in a heatgun. if they're stock then there should be no problem at 250,

I've done a retrofit on my max. It will be fine in the oven at 250 degrees for 10 minutes.
