Budget SS Y problem

After installing my Y-pipe, whenever I'd take a left turn and start accelerating, there would be this kinda scraping and mild banging noise. This is only when im making a left turn though and everything is fine other than that.

Im suspecting a part of the hanger holding the exhaust up by the cat is hitting this panel under the car. Seems like this hanger doesn't fit as good as it did on the stock Y. I'm going to try wrapping the part that makes contact with the metal. Hopefully that gets rid of the noise.

Has anybody else had this experience?

I had a similar problem that was resolved in less than 5 minutes. The car is going to have to be jacked up or put on a hoist to see what the rubbing problem stems from.

well i got down there yesterday and saw that the left part (passenger side) of the hanger for the Y pipe by the cat is rubbing on the underpanel. I just took the thing off and had a muffler shop cut the top part off and grind it down.

It works fine now....but I have another problem now i put in another thread. Oh man...
