Why does my Max sound like an airplane?

My Maxima's been acting up lately and I'm stumped as to what's going on.

Before I get to the airplane part, I'll start with this. It's been stalling sporadically. Here's what happens: I start to slow down, then put the clutch in, shiftin either to neutral or a lower gear. The rpm's start to lower as usual when the clutch is in and im slowin down, but sometimes it'll go all the way down to zero and the car will just shut off. This really sucks when I'm turning because the damn power stearing shuts off so I've had to muscle my way thru a couple turns lol, one nearly sending me off the road. Any ideas why this is happening? Bad fuel injector maybe?...???????

Here's where the airplane part comes in. I've noticed at high speeds i get a loud hummmm that is louder than the engine when I'm not accelerating fast. Or maybe it's actually coming from the engine i dunno. It really sounds like that kinda middle-high-pitched hum you hear when flying in an airplane, and when I'm slowing down it sounds like the plane's starting its descent lol. Could it be noise from tires? Rotors? Something with the axle? I'd like to think the tires but it really doesn't seem like it cuz it sounds like it's coming from under the hood i dunno.

One more thing. When I'm going slow or slowing down I get a really loud noise that comes from the back of the car, most likely from the axle/wheels. When the brake is firmly applied, there is usually no noise, when it is off i hear something that sounds like one thing rubbing on something else and it makes a really unpleasant really loud elephant-like noise lol. It's sometimes so loud it vibrates the whole car. And it only happens when I'm slowing down at a low speed or even if I'm stopped. When I'm stopped...same thing; brake on=no noise, brake off=NOISE! And this is also sporadic. No pattern...happens sometimes, other times it's fine.

Man my ****'s got problems. Any help/suggestions???

it also could be your cam angle sensor that is causing you to stall, my was doing the same but my check engine light was on. after i fixed it, it cleared the codes and ran fine.

oh yea thats the other thing too...when it was stalling the check engine light was on for a couple days, but then it turned off, and hasn't come back. yet it's still stalling.

and what exactly is the cam angle sensor?

One of my other maxima's had the problem with the airplane noise. It was fixed with new tires. There was also a bit of an elephant noise with the brakes... it was fixed with new brakes. I don't know anything about your stalling though, sorry.

i think the moaning hollow drum kindof noise can be from the brakes rubbing. i probably bent something when i left the park break on and let the clutch out into reverse...after that i had the noise when its cold. its was like MOOOOOAAAN.

yea a big MOOOOAAAN. i dunno. my older brother has been driving the car the whole year and i just started driving it again since i got home from college, and its got all these problems now. god knows what he does with my Maxima, seems like its always messed up when he's been driving it. im just glad he hasn't wrecked it b/c he magnificently was able to turn our newly acquired cert. pre-owned beamer 328xi into a banana after "trying to avoid a squirrel" going around a sharp turn at 2 oclock in the morning on a saturday night and losing control and slamming the side into a tree.

and im pretty sure the tires were changed and rotated fairly recently, so my bro says, as well as the brakes so i dunno. gotta check up on that. mannn i gotta reunite with my max and tell it that im takin care of it from now on so it can stop acting like a damn flying elephant.
