Ebay Air Intakes?

are any of the ebay air intakes any good. are they worth the 30-50 bucks?
will i gain anything from them?

the stickies tell it all maaannnn!!!! but yeah they are the best bang for the cheap bucks that you will spend on them. i have a bomz from ebay and when it is installed and you step on the gas it sounds like a monster.

They're all a waste of money, unless you're looking for sound..stock is the best for performance.

most e-bay kits come with all the hardware, clamps, piping, and hose-fittings you need, however most of the filters are pretty crappy, unless its a tru brand name (which is doubtful)

You might want to invest in a nice K&N cone filter, the rest of the intake is the same as any brand name.

it all depends on the type of filter you are using. K&N/stillen/JWT = power gains of 1-3 whp.

So comapred to stock you lose power with these ebay intakes? what about gas mileage? I have a K&N laying round my garage and I was gonna bolt it to an ebay intake for the sound and gas mileage. Will my mileage improve at all?

i just put my stock box back on the auto and it feels like forever to build up power i can't beleive the difference the intake makes not only sound but performance too.

stock---> vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvrrrrroommmmm

bomz intake--> vvvvrrommmmmm

hacked stock box--> unknown to me at the moment

I have found the Bomz on ebay isn't to bad i put one in my max and it seems to do fine. it makes it sound good, but install a K&N airfilter for power
