Those have all kinds of engine choices. Is it a v6, V8 or is it a 4 cyl Turbo ( Though I'm not sure they made those in 1990). If it's an 8 cyl it'll be close unless he's modded but you should win. Otherwise you'd kill the V6!

Spyder is right about those SCs but they are beatable-depends o=if you are a manual and if you are a good shifter v. the other guys shifting abilities. Watch out for thse V8s as they were 5.0 ad shared many of the the mod possibilities as Mustangs...

Exactly, be carefull with the SC and the V8s, about two yaers ago I got my *** kicked by a V8 T-bird, he had California Plates and they said "V8birdy", I was driving my 240sx (modded), we took af at about 70 MPH and by 90 He was at least 5 car lenghts in front of me.

Take care!

it'll be close if it says SC...

those ran a 3.8l with a supercharger...

i think they were good for about 215hp, but like 325 lbs or torque... however they were heavy... around 4000lbs.

i think the specs back then for the SuperCoupe were 0-60 in about 7.8 or 7.4 seconds... if you have a stock auto, it'll be close. you'll probably get him from light to light, but on the freeway, it'll probably be nose to nose.

if i remember correctly, the last body style had a choice of 3.0v6 (slow), 3.8 SC (fast), 5.0L v8 from stang (decently fast), and 4.6l modular v6 (slower, than 5.0 and 3.8 SC, but some potential...).

if they were pre-1990 i think it was (older body style) there was a turbo 2.3 good for around 190hp (i think).
