few things i noticed after clutch & axles change ... feedback?
hi guys,
I have my clutch replaced with a 5th gen and also had both axles replaced as well.
The clutch is great, but I've noticed a couple things since the install...
1. when the clutch engages at speeds under 20mph, i hear a light *clunk* sound. I've noticed this especially in 1->2, 2->3 gear. As soon as I feel that the clutch disk has touched the flywheel, i hear that sound. ALso, when i push down on the clutch pedal quickly, i can hear that noise once more.
any ideas?
2. maybe it has to do with the new axles, but i've noticed something that i didn't get so often before. When i'm driving, i feel the steering wheel turn slightly as i go onto uneven / or not so leveled ground. It sounds normal, and i remember feeling it before, but not as often as i do now.
I know i need an alignment badly because my wheel is a couple degrees off. .. do u think it'll go away after an alignment?
thanks

Nadir, the wheel turn over bumps is normal. After I got stiffere springs it became more apparent in my car.

Thanks for the response.
anyone have an idea about my clutch issue?
as for the 5th gen clutch, since the 5th gen engine packs more power, the clutch should be stronger as well. ... and also it's good quality (OEM) + around $210 ... best bang for the buck IMO.
