Back window won't go up

When I manually pull it up it slides back down to the bottom, how do I fix this? Is there a temporary fix for this and can't I kill the power to that window so if I do get it back up it stays up and doesn't go down even by the switch until fully taken care of.

umm....if you can pull it up by hand, that means the gearing is messed up and is not catching therefor why you're window won't go up. you might be lucky and be able to get the arm to hold where the window still iss. try having pulled the window up, press the button to roll up your windows. hope that there is still something left in you're window motor to catch to bring the arm up so it won't fall back down again. and what do you mean kill the power? killing the power wont do anything since the part you need is not up where its suppose to therefor thats why its making it fall..

take off the door panel and unplug the window switch if you want a temporary fix and no, your books won't catch fire
