Has anyone swapped an analog odometer instrument cluster with a digital one?

Are the harnesses the same?

Please let me know ASAP

Have a good 4th

Harnesses are different, but there is a writeup around here somewhere. It has been done.

I was under the impression that the ECU had something to do with it, too? Whatever, I'll shutup now, I'm probably wrong and I don't want to spread misinformation...

Unless you want to swap a 00+ digital gauge cluster with 160 MPH instead of 140.

Sure there would. The swap is all wiring, and wouldn't cost more than another cluster. Many have had problems with their analog odometer "sticking".

Every mod other than stock is a "waste of money."

Can anyone please point me towards that writeup? The 95 Odometers do stick and this one is stuck. I have a 98 one laying around. 95 is analog. 98 is digital

EDIT: I remember a guy swapping in a 2k2 cluster, so it's possible. He spliced wires using both the 2k2, and a 4th gen FSM.

it is possible, but quite a pain. Also, with the 2k2, some of the sensors are different, so you'd like temp sensor if I remember right. It does take quite a bit of wiring. Best of luck.
