for brakes if you arent running much more than stock power then, OEM Pads, good fluids, and SS lines should firm up brakes and feel like new.

Rotors you got me, I'm interested in responces because I know mine havent been changed or service for as long as I've known the car. You can have your rotors "turned" where they cut off a thin layer of the rotor to make it balanced.

I have Powerslot rotors and Hawk HPS pads up front. I am happy with their performance. I get a good amount of brake dust, but I don't mind it.

Some good reading:

Brudaddy uses the 20 dollar generic blanks with Raybestor QS pads and seems to like that combination. I am a little wary of the generic rotors - so always use OEM or Brembo. For most of us (not racing, AutoX, etc.) I think any blank rotor with some good pads would be perfectly fine. Since my brakes only wear out every 3-4 years, I just spend the extra money for peace of mind on a branded rotor - It ends up being an extra 40-50 bucks, and is worth it for me.

I use Performance friction Z carbon metallic pads on my 300ZX bbk, they are quiet, no fade, and minimal dusting, you can get the pads for $40 online for the stock Maxima brakes ( I have a new set that I didn't use as I converted to 300ZX bbk) Look at Raceconcepts or Stopchek on ebay for good deals on "maxima rotors" search.

Got the pads from these guys:

umm...see the thing is i need stuff that will handle me going downhill at somewhat high speeds...i go up in the california hills more often than not so yeah...i kinda need strong stuff here....how much do brembo blanks cost???

i use Raybestos QS with stock OEM rotors and that combo sucks because they create so much dust that it makes my 18s look like a totally different color.

It all depends on how much you want to spend and how hard you drive. If you spend the $ and get slotted they will stop much better but the slots shave your pads each time you brake thats why there is more brake dust. Regular rotors wont stop as effectivly but your pads will last longer. I went with brembo replacemet rotors and PBR semi metalic pads i love em
