back up light problem

back up light problem

guys I got a problem the backup lights dont work. all the fuses are good and all the other taillights work. a mechanic from midas said the switch on the transmission is fine any ideas on what it could be.

ummm.. the only thing I can think of is something stupid like.. your bulbs are out?....

i just put in brand new bulbs

Switch from the transmission? What? Bulbs burn out dude. If not bulbs or fuses, maybe a short. My 3rd brake light doesn't work sometimes, till I crank the sub. Hehe.

brand new bulbs can burn out (as soon as it's in and turned on) right away if they are faulty or if your harness is faulty....

My guess would be that it's the switch - it's part of the tranny housing. Had teh same problem with a 325i.
