JWT ECU for 97-99 Maximas

Anyone know the latest? I know that until recently, they were actually working on 1997-1999 ECUs. I emailed them a while ago; no response yet.

Thanks!

dude wtf.

1.) i have to donate $20 to search which i plan on doing eventually.

2.) i know i can use a 95-96 ECU in a 97-98. I don't wanna have to worry about 02 sensors, CELs, and other quirks. I want to have plug and play ECU. I'm a novice here keep in mind.

any sort of additional modifications needed to make this work after you get the ECU from JWT?

Why JWT? Why not go with the technosquare ECU? I thought they made 97-99. Or maybe I'm wrong. I just hear a lot of JWT focused talk...Or is one simply more reputable than the other?

JWT has the extended rev limiter option. TS doesn't i believe.

both however do not offer 97-99 ECUs apparently....

Isn't there another company that does ECU's for the max? I heard about a company in NH. GForce ECU's I believe is the name of the product. I don't have much info on it though.

I think they can if they want. it's probly just not economically feasible.

If it won't make enough money, why sell it? (i.e. stillen supercharger)

i don't know...$595+shipping....is it really worth the extra 10 or so hp? I thought not, unless someone can tell otherwise. And, can I turbo my Max with the upgraded ecu?

They have special forced induction maps (JWT) IIRC. It's not just the 10 hp at the peak, it's the AREA UNDER THE TORQUE CURVE that determines how much faster the car will be, which the ecu gives plenty of.

No one's working on 97-99 ECUs. There's not enough market for it, especially since 95-96 ECUs work just fine in those years. TS used to be GForce used to be UPRD. To the potential turbo guy, I'd strongly suggest doing more research on tuning and turbocharging in general. If you are asking about using an upgraded ECU with a turbo car you don't know enough yet to be doing a custom turbo on your max.

Werd!!!!

If you are going turbo later on, you should be using some other method of ECU manipulation that you can adjust yourself.

well, i sure would like to turbo. this is all i'm saying:
that upgraded ecu is a lot of cash, but is it worth it?
that was all i was tryin to ask. I do not have the cash right now to blow on a turbo anyways, but if I was to spend all that on just an ecu, might as well just turbooooo!

I just came back from the Nissan dealer and i talked to the guy that sold me the Max about a year ago. I asked him about the JWT and said that its a good Ecu but greddy came out with something better. I still have to research on that since i forgot the name of it but he said it worked magic on his brother 96 max. He told me he would letme download his maps into the ecu once i get it. SO that will be my next mod along with a 00vi!
