I have a 1999 MAX SE Limited Edition...it has 43k miles...recently the check engine soon light came on and as i started to drive i noticed the car was hesitating. I brought it in the next morning and I was told my ignition coils were bad. They were replaced under warranty. I also have a problem with engine knocking..when i am in drive and the car is stopped the engine will knock and i can feel the car shake. When this happens and i put the car in neutral, the knocking stops. I am wondering if anyone knows if the engine knocking would be caused by the problem with the ignition coils. Ive already had the transmission fluid changed and i had a fuel injection service. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

An educated guess: you have a bad Crankshaft Position Sensor. If this hypothesis is right you will soon have a Check Engine Light and a Diagnostic Trouble Code pointing to the CPS.
