Bose Headunit fades in and out

Quick question of this annoying problem that can't seemed to be solved. Bose headunit light that displays the stations or cd information kept fading in and out. Seemed like a simple wiring problem. Found that the positive battery cable was completely corroded - replaced cable. Bose head unit worked fine for a little while. Then started fading in and out again. Replaced 2 little wires that feed off the positive cable that control electric options in the car and re-crimped them. I have had the car for about 2 years, and this has been going on since then. It will work fine one day, fade in and out the next, then not work at all for 2 weeks or more. The radio works fine, its just not being able to see what stations you are listening too, and constantly changing stations going between states (I drive a lot) is very annyoing. If anyone has ever had this problem, or could know what else it is please let me know.

How do you take apart the center dash compartment, maybe its a wire behind the head unit???

Thanks for any advice in advanced...

found an article in the stickies, sorry for posting when it was already addressed. For anyone that had this problem and was wondering, here is one possible solution. Not to sure if I want to tear apart my dash though....

When I called they had put it in line to repair, when I told them I was selling it they sent me a check that day, so my $103 Bose deck including shipping only really cost me around $40 after shipping the old deck. Good deal.
