is a high flow cat worth the money ....

i was wondering is it worth the money to get a highflow cat. I am getting the custom enterprise y pipe and am wondering if i should get the high flow cat as well. The cat on my car is perfectly fine now. Would the high flow cat give me any hp increase ? What would it do ? Would it make my car worse ? My whole exhaust system is brand new oem replacement parts. The only thing i am definatly changing is the y pipe. And the high flow cat if it proves that it will actually do anything with my setup. Please let me know, thanks for your help!

I AGREE.....cats DO NOT hurt performance like they used to in the 80s and early 90s........they flow pretty well now

At least for our cars they do.
Eliminating the precats in the OEM y pipe is what helps our flow.

well the reason i ask is because custommaxima is having a group deal for a high flow cat + a y pipe for 350$ . i was just wondering if its worth getting the hi flo cat.

Only if you're boosted is a high flow cat worthwhile.

i replaced the cat only because everything was rusted and to install my new y-pipe i had to.

i didnt use a hi flow cat because the dyno tests are not that great and i want to pass emissions... while the one from CE might pass emissions, im rather to be safe than sorry, and atm i think that price they list is kinda expensive. 175$ (mabe 150$ i forget) i think it was... plus the 299$ for the y-pipe.

i bought the ypipe with the group deal, good price, 213$ with shipping and install kit.

if you run a test pipe, what do you have to do to keep CEL from turning on?
