Fluttering noise while accelerating....

Hey guys....still havin problems with my max. First off I have a horrid smell from the A/C....I have tried just about everything to get rid of that from BG fridgi-fresh, lysol and everything else. I am also getting a banging noise like metal on metal type sound when going over bumps and just noticed a slight fluttering that happens during acceleration. The fluttering always happens when stopped or when I first accelerate hard WOT. This doesn't happen while in nuetral however. Does anyone see a connection with these 3 things because they all happened at once....I tried to search and really haven't come up with anything except heat shield from exhaust for fluttering noise....

heat shield or exhaust making "fluttering" noises?.. hmm Im trying my hardest to think what that might be but that sort of sound draws me a blank. When i think of "Fluttering noise" i think of BOV =P Do you have a digi cam to take a soundclip/video? It would be much much more helpful in trying to troubleshoot your problem.

Yea I do but in most cases it is so faint that I doubt it would even pick it up....this is just something that I thought might also be causing the clanking noise while going over bumps and this rancid smell that won't go away.....oh man my car is in bad shape hahaha

Read this web site, it explains why your A/C smell is present, shows you pics, and tells you how to get rid of it.

maybe something crawled in and died. I saw it on a newer Vitara. Smelled like nothing I can explain. Take the thing apart, probably in the interior fan. Maybe I'm way off but I've seen it happen.
