Horn and the Stereo

Hi. I have two questions.

1) Is there anyway I can make my horn honk when I unlock/lock the doors with the remote? My sisters Passat does that and I was wondering if it was possible with my Maxima.

2) I want to add a nice, loud stereo to my Maxima. I have a preference with SONY therefore can anyone share experiences with installing a SONY system into their Max? I want to add an amp, new speakers, a bass tube and a new head unit. Even though I really like the BOSE audio.

1. Your lights flash when u arm the alarm right? why be annoying and have your car honk everytime? Well if you really want to, the best way is to buy an aftermarket alarm, as the factory alarm isn't really programmable.

2. I have a Sony M600 deck in my 99 max, installation is fairly easy. Order it from Crutchfield and they'll send you instructions, dash kit, and wiring harness. My only beef is the factory holes for the deck make my Sony stick out about 1/2 inch. Eventually I'll pull it out and drill new holes in the deck harness so the deck mounts flush...
If you want amps, speaks, and sub, your only choice is to get an aftermarket deck, so go with your gut and do it (the BOSE isn't that great, it's actually a Clarion deck w/ BOSE speakers ICYDK).

i have a sony head unit
and it is good
dont skip a lot and read good
the install is very hard at first but after u know hoe to do it it is very very easy

i also have a sony amp and it works great

but if iw as u dont get a tube get 2 12 jl w3 and a mtx 100o d amp
your system will be bumping like crazy trust me

I hate cars that honk their horns when the doors lock. That is very annoying, and does nothing but draw attention to the fact that you are leaving your car unattended and it has no protection besides the crappy stock "security" system. I much prefer my better aftermarket system with a silent chirp, so that nobody notices my car.
