Help! My car isn't starting and I'm not sure why. It happened yesterday when I got home from work, drove the car to the market to buy something and just as I finished parking the car, it dies on me. My cousin came and we jump started the car and I was able to start it but after a little while, it dies again and I need to jump start the car again several times just to make it home. Not sure if it's the battery(Interstate, which I got in January), or if it is the alternator. I connected my cousin's battery to mine with his car off and I was able to start my car, he told me it's the battery. But what's the chances that both Interstate batteries that I got in the past 2 years are defective?

I checked my car this morning, the lights are still working but I can't start the car. Any ideas or suggestions?

 

When you say it dies on you, do you mean while running, it just shuts down?

 

Yep, that's right. It just shuts down while the car is running
