Dash light problem? Illum out-HELP

Got a strange problem! my speedo lights have gone out yet there is no blown fuses, no dead bulbs (That i noticed), yet the mileage still illuminates with the **** properly and adjusts brightness. So the entire speedo console isnt dead, just the gauges.

Any help would be appreciated, i was about to start with led lighting but have to fix this first.thx.

Hey, have you had any accidents? I got in one and the wires under my drivers side tire (this is where ALL the wires from the dash/cockpit go through the firewall and into the engine bay are) were exposed and a bunch were destroyed. This turned my dash off and drained my battery. Take a look above your left front tire and check all the wires, I had to pay $500 to have them all cut and re-soldered.

im about ready to wire in a relay and just try hard wiring it. would really prefer not too though. when thinking about it, i did have to remove the fuse panel in the hood to adjust the intake afew days prior to it going out...may have knocked something loose...

thanks for the idea phishy

Before you start fooling with anything, take the splashgaurd out of the left front wheel well and check all of the wires. It could also just be a short, but better safe then sorry
