Auto Trans is starting to slip

My Auto Tranny is starting to slip occasionally. It's not often, but sometimes during light throttle it slips out of gear and has even bucked once or twice. Only has 60k on it and had a fluid change about a year ago. Other than changing the fluid and going easy on it, is there any other preventive maintenance that can be done to stop it from slipping?

If its slipping its already too late. You'll need a rebuild or tranny swap eventually. Depending on what you choose, it would be a good time to either start looking for a replacement tranny or a shop you trust to do the rebuild.

Have you checked the fluid level yet?

It was checked about 2 months ago with my last oil change, and was OK then. It doesn't slip often, maybe once or twice a week tops, so it should last a while longer. Anyway, if it goes, I have a good excuse to do a 5 speed swap and put my LSD in that's been sitting in the garage.
