well today i changed my oil, and before that i wanted to clean my tb. now this is like the 4th time or so ive cleaned it and other cars. I started to spray it on the butterfly, and behind, and cleaned it with a rag, no problem. now when i start it up, it didnt start[i was used of this happening while i did it last time] so i start hitting the gas like crazy. and BOOOM big **** POP noise. i saw blue smoke everywhere and the Motor shut off. I got scared because i though i blew my motor. Anyways the car starts, and runs now, but could i have damaged anything? i got no codes either... well not yet

yikes.... is the cleaning juice safe if it somehow gets in too deep inside the throttle body? maybe pieces of rag? i doubt it.. hopefully nothing serious.

You probably sprayed to much into the TB. If it runs fine and normal now, I wouldn't worry about it. If you poped a screw inside the Manifold, you'll know in a couple days

Well ....if there was something sucked into the engine........whatever damage was done is done, so I would start it and see whats up...if it happens again, well, you know youve got problems.....

Sounds like you backfired in your intake manifold. If everything seems normal you should be fine. I would double check vacuum hoses just to make sure the extra pressure from the backfire didnt cause a leak.

Blue Smoke is a sign of oil being burned.

you also have no clue what was burned inside the intake manifold when it blew.. there's often quite a bit of oil from the PCV system in the intake as well, and if he sprayed a bunch of TB cleaner in there, then it's likely some of that dissolved into the cleaner and burned with it.

fire the car up and see what happens. if it's runnign smooth and you have no CEL, then don't worry about it.

yeah, sprayed too much. shouldn't be a problem this time. one time i downed a whole bottle of seafoam into the manifold and pedal down to crank that baby up. took a few cranks but it finally started, and i had to keep feeding the pedal for a good while. smoke was black and then white. and i let it idle out after that.

afterwards, car runs fine and strong. be careful what you are using to clean the tb. i've been using seafoam, and no problems so far.

i used gum out.. it said to start the car and do it,but if i did that then there would be no vacume, and the car would cut off, and i wouldve gotten a code.

Neways thanks guys, its running strong now, and even stronger since i did my oil change.
