aftermarket wheels not fitting!

i wanted to buy my friends Sport Edition Fox 2 rims. The lug pattern fits. but when i slip the rim on it hits the friggen brake on the back that center cap on the brakes i took it of, but the rim of outside still does not fit into the middle of the rim. The front same thing but fits a bit better anyway to get this fixed??? longer studs maybe?
