The filter costs $2.99, but the shipping is $14.99? Make sense to you?

I've been through nearly all intake set-ups, and always come back to this one on both my Maximas both 3.0 $ 3.5L.

A mid-pipe is shown to do weird things with the power curve, but the POP always adds power, and does it smoothly with not spikes/depressions.

anyone have set up using a filter like this
I was wondering if you could hook up some tubing to bring colder air to this filter, but it could still have the power characteristics of a short (POP) intake.

For a cone filter, it depends on your MAF adapter, which I haven't seen any auto parts store carry (at least around me).

You pay for what you get, oboviously the shift **** isnt gonna do any damage but the filter very well may.

And the steel mesh filters are usually used for marine applications

Its to trick you into buying it thinking your getting a great deal.

Hey guys. I was doing some research on air filters today, since I'll be going back to a stock box soon. I was considering a panel filter to use and couldn't make up my mind.
Then....

I came across this site http://www.caddyinfo.com/airfilterstudy2.htm

Granted it's not tested on a Max, but it is a N/A engine with a stock air box. I ran across a few other sites that kinda supported the theory. Wish I could remember where. The numbers are kinda interesting. Take a look.

This too. Something about not using cone filters. http://www.hmsmotorsport.com/store/p...kn-replacement

P.S. My Frankencar intake with Apexi filter for sale. PM me if you want to give up your hard earned money just to make your engine sound like it's pumping out 500 hp.

get real K&N filter for quality air flow, or JWT/stillen filter. don't waste money on ebay's junk filter.

Foam filters DO clean the incoming air better but there is a HUGE flaw with them. When they start to get old, the foam deteriorates and will get sucked into the engine which is BAD. Looks cheap too. Just stick with a cone.
