question about rear caliper for 95 max

question about rear caliper for 95 max

Well i was changing my brake pads and rotors and i noticed that the rear passenger caliper boot was really torn up. Will that seize the calipereventually ? Is their a way to repair them? Or should i just buy a new one if so what do you rec omend that i get.

Do you mean the actual piston boot?

If yes, then I would recommend replacing the caliper (or actually both rear calipers at the same time).

yes the piston boot : ( . What brand do you reccomend and where can i get them from ?

Try to get it from a dealer - I doubt there are any different brands of boots.

To replace just the boot, you'll have to essentially rebuild the caliper. Not sure if that is something I would recommend taking on yourself. You can rebuilt rear calipers from www.partsamerica.com for 79 bucks a piece (after core charge) with lifetime warranty.

thats how much advance auto has it for they only have one in stock. But it comes out to like 80 $ after the core charge

advance auto rebuilds are pretty good, also check napa.
