what do you mean under 4 inches....you mean your car is low that you can't get a jack underneath??? do what i do, i put bricks down on the floor...drive my car on the bricks..n then lift my car that way. why don't you go to a store. ask them if you can wheel out the display to see if it will fit under your car. i'm sure they don't have a problem. if they do....then just be like. ok..then i would like to take this jack..n if it doesn't fit....i'll be back in a minute to return it..n if it does fit and u want to find it cheaper, then go online n find one. btw, i'd suggest at least a 4-ton jack...sometimes jacks are more expensive is because of their weight, there are some jacks tat are rreally light which is technicaly more expensive..
hey, do you have a drop? you must. which springs/how much? I have that black/yellow one also, and now that i dropped on S-Techs, i have to roll the car up on 2X8 boards and they slide the jack under the front. I don't wanna dish out and $$ for a new jack so it there anything else i can do? also, I used to have ramps, but they are too steep an incline to even have a chance.
I would vouch for craftsman if you find one that works, cuz isn't there a lifetime warantee on everything?

The jack I was looking at in Sears is an aluminum Jack and is only 44 lbs..
I thought all sears stuff is lifetime but its only a year warentee..they really cant put a lifetime warentee on a hydrolic peice of equipment

I FOUND ONE! http://www.sjdiscounttools.com/ap200lp.html
The craftsman all aluminum low profile jack is awesome, my friend has it and I've used it often. Don't buy a jack from harbor frieght you'd be lucky if the thing lasted 6 months.
The weight difference is HUGE, like literally half the weight of a steel jack. 4 ton jack is rediculous don't listen to that guy, 8000lbs you could lift a dump truck, your car only weighs 3000ish.
Of course the guy has a drop if he needs a jack that goes to 4" or lower. Use your heads guys.
