Service is still on, click the "retrofit services" thread in my sig for more info. Now that those R34 headlights are out, that will eliminate some time and some dollars of my prices since I don't have to mount a second light.

In regular max housings I have done:
tsx, e46, e46 bixenon, rs6

In cefiros I have done tsx, e46 bixenon, and TL.

Yo that is hot. When you are done with the write up, I would try to make some myself or buy a set from you. Let us know how they turn out.

any reason why the projector sticks out so close to the headlight lens, other than not making the headlight deeper? i'm thinking of putting projectors in my cefiros, but i want to keep the chrome look as much as possible, i fugure the deeper i mount them the better it will look. any advise?

for cefiros, stick with a Bi-xenon Projector.

if you install the projector deeper, the light output will be cut by the headlight housing, most likely at the bottom in front. the projector has to sit more out so the light output illuminates the road. I used spacers to move out and align the projector inside the housing, test fitted them on the car, re-aimed them to correct height, then closed it all up with the headlight lens

i have regular xenons in it now, but i'd rather have bixenon, that's why i was looking into the projectors, but i really dont like the way they look when theyre out that far. to me they look like someone stuck something inside the headlight, it doesnt look factory.

Well if you can somehow put a chrome shroud over the projector you might get the look you want. The thing is money. You can custom make something but getting the chrome is another story for it to match. For a few ounces of the stuff is over $100. And thn it may not be a perfect match. Here is the 07 camry headlight, it would be nice to have a shroud like that over the projector.http://home.comcast.net/~t.hoots/silverxleheadlight.jpg

You could get away with a nice factory bezel and maybe a chrome painted shroud tho.

I know I am WAY late, but I am a noobie to the site and I am looking to outfit (or retrofit I should say) my 99 max with some HID lights. If anyone knows any other members that are in the business of making them, I will negotiate work-for -hire for these for my car.

bigtulley, www.hidtech.com will make you custom HIDs with OEM projectors if you're willing to pay. I'm not sure whether there are any Org members doing this for others.

You can go to any autoparts store and look for a set of clear foglights or driving lights that have a 2.75-3" lens that matches pretty good with most projectors. Sometimes they are hard to find, just look around. I know the blazer brand lights had one but I removed the lens cause it had a weird color tint on it; then they looked fine.
