New Steering Wheel Options???

Has anyone here ever tried to change their steering wheels. I have a 95 max and the wheel is so hideous and huge. I believe i once read about someone doing a 5th gen steering wheel. I wanted to know if this is possible, or what i have for open options. Opinions Please... Thanks!

A 5th gen Maxima wheel will not fit. The steering shaft is bigger on the 00+. Trust me - I tried it.

Hey thanks alot for the pic. That steering wheel is sick. I need something like that. Do you know off what car the wheel is from? Also if its a direct fit.

That is not MZMTG's car. He has manual climate and a cool radio w/ Sirus tuner.

thats not bens (mzmtg) car, its killer95max. he has put a ton of work into a 95/96 to make it look like a 97-99. the altima wheel is not a direct swap. the clock spring and other wiring needs to be modified. http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....ltima+steering

So with this Altima wheel, does the airbag work? Also, can you use the radio buttons to control an aftermarket radio?

You have to rewire all that stuff. All he said was that the steering wheel bolts on.
