has any one done or thought of inserting a hood scoop kind of like the WRXSti one on a max near the front where the ram air scoop is under the hood? by hood scoop i mean cutting out a hole in the hood under the scoop so air would be forced into the ram air tube and bring more cold air to a hacked airbox, short ram intake or even a stock air box? would it yeild a difference?

 

someone has done the ram air setup.. they used a coldair intake that had a hose hat sucked air in from the frt of the car.. im not sure if he had a def difference is anythig, but someone should know who im talking about..

 

ive seen many turbod maximas with hood scoops over the turbo. well that for cooling purposes, it wouldnt be too necessary for an intake, but it will still work. probably a .0000592 gain

i think it would look kinda gay near the front of the hood where the ram air intake is....plus its offset. So if you put a scoop about where the wrx's is...youd hafta do some sort of crazy custom intake...probably from the airbox or maf all the way to the scoop...and while it could be done...it would be hard to do and make it look decent.

 

thers this one guy...but he took out the drivers headlight for a direct air port. it is a maroon maxima, it was featured in a few mags.
