brake and battery light is on at the same time. fuse is good battery is good and the alternator was bench tested and it came out ok. however when the alternator was tested in the car in put out 16v.
does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be?
i even changed the alternator and still the same thing

 

it hsoulndt be hitting 16v, it should be between 13-14v..the new alternator could be bad as well, though as improbable as it seems.

 

the one that i had in before put out 16v when it was under load, and at idle it was , if i remember correctly 15v


now the new one that i put in today, the idle is at 13-14v and idle but the brake and battery lights still come on.
