Extending O2 sensor wires

A buddy of mine asked me today if i would be able to help him do this because he doesnt know anything about cars. I told him that i would post it up on the forum and see what u guys had to say so if you know how to do it post it here or PM me Thank you for all the help

1. Why does your buddy need to do this? And is it for his Maxima?
2. What's so hard about it, cut harness, splice in new pieces in between cut ends.
3. Your are done.

butt connectors plus 30 feet of 18 gauge wire, total cost, $8.

and it will also affect resistance messing up readings. why would you need to stretch an o2 sensor wire?
