No, the car wasn't cold. Mine sounds somewhat like that, a lot deeper though (actually hard to say b/c of the accuracy of the mic's sound reproduction). I have a 40 series on a 2.5" catback. I had it made to replace my rusted out stock exhaust. Now I just need to get a y-pipe.

So does the flowmaster boost any performance? I was lookin' to make my Maxima sound mean while boosting performance. Or is that what a CAI does?

no the muffler might give you 1hp at most, and a cai wont show much hp improvement over stock either. if you want to boost performance get a ypipe, and also read the stickies
