Is there anyway I can install a Qualife ATB for my automatic 1999 GLE? I live in the snow city Syracuse in Upstate New York and I need more tractions for the snowy weather here. Do I have to convert my tranny to a 5 speed to use it? I know driving a stick is a lot more fun but sometime I just need one of my hands free.

Those are no longer made you can try finding an I30t automatica transmission since a few of the autos have VLSD's

 

Or an automatic ae lsd.

 

Quaife will probably build a one-off for you if you have $3k....

 

so do i have to swap tranny? can i just take the differential?

I can't afford that!

VLSD trans will run about a grand. But they are rare.

 

I havea VItek VLSD sitting in my garage if you're interested. Much less than 3k

 

i think there is a guy on the forsale forum selling an auto VLSD. You can swap the entire tranny
