Heated Seats

Well, I've decided that I would like heated seats, but not sure how to go about it. Would I have to buy a kit for it, or new seats alltogether? is it even possible to heat my upholstery seats if it was not an original option with them? hopefully someone can help me go about this.

thanks

I've never heard of upholstery heated seats. I was always to believe they had to be leather because of the heated elements and possibly for safety issues. As far as going to getting yourself some, I would just try to purchase some that are already pre-made or stock. I believe it would cost more and be too time consuming to modify any heated seats.

ummm...youve probably never heard of heated cloth seats because first of all its not offered as a factory option. and second, if youre going to pay a few hundred on a car to get heated seats, who isnt going to shell out a few hundred more for leather.

i dont see why it would be a safety issue. they still use foam pading and stuff...just like in regular seats. the heating elements dont get all that hot. if they did would you want them 2 inches away from your ***?

but what about wiring? is the wiring all there for every car, and then if you choose it as an option, they just kinda plug it in, or will i have to wire everything up? hopefully someone knows about this. yeah, i suppose leather would be the best idea. anyone have some for sale? tan?

It is possible to get heated cloth seats...I have them on my Maxima. I find them much more comfy than the leather ones.

well, now that I know it is an option, how do I go about doing this? What are my options? If I find some seats that are heated, where do I find the wiring in the floor to hook it up? Is it even there?
