I need four new ones. Machining any of them will put them under spec. Looking at the NAPA website, I can see seven to choose from. They're listed below. Anyone know anything about these things? Anyone used them? How would I fare if I just got the cheapest ones? What reason is there to get any of the more expensive ones? BTW, I WILL be getting Nissan pads. Been down that road before. (And it was a noisy road.)

What about Autozone stuff? Anyone ever heard of people getting Autozone rotors for their 4th gen? They have a bigger assortment. I've never bought anything like an altenator for my max from them, but how about their rotors? They have carbon-metallic, ceramic, semi-metallic and all kinds of stuff. Is there any reason to stay away from this stuff? Thanks.

Those are decent rotors for the price. Im a Tech and get employee prices and would still get those for the price if I werent going to put aftermarket performance rotors. Keep in mind when you shop for pads look for a softer compund if you are worried about your rotors being worn too much.

count the number of fins in the rotor and compare to your old one. more fins, better cooling. less warpage.

SO how do you think these would compare to the stocks? THe front ones, I mean, especially? I am a pretty aggressive driver and I don't want anything that would do at least as well as what I've already got.

Also, to the other dude that responded, you wouldn't happen to know off the top of your head how many fins are on the stock front rotors would you? I assume you're talking about those links that go all away around the rotor that are parallel to the axis of rotation and perpendicular to the plane of rotation and on the outside of the disk. If you know, that'd be easier than me taking the wheel off first.

Cool. I think I'm comfortable getting the cheap ones from NAPA, then. But Armelius, how in the heck did you get OEM Nissan rotors for 35 bucks??

I use autozone rotors for $26 each and OEM pads from dealerships...
My braking has and is always very good, I never saw any reason to pay more for OEM rotors when they are IDENTICAL in every way.

I would never use cheap pads though, it's quite obvious they are not up to the OEM standard (at least the kind that come from auto parts stores.)
