I don't know whether it's a design flaw
by ES. But when I installed the first
set of bushings from ES, the stock rubber
ones were on my car for at least 70k miles.
The stock ones were just worn, but definitely
not torned like the ES ones. At first, I
thought it was installation problem since
Courtesy told me to have the slits face the
rear of the car just like the stock ones. But
the first set was facing the front so I'd thought
that was my problem. Courtesy was nice enough to
send me a second set for free. Then I'd installed
them to face the rear, but despite that they still
got torned!
by ES. But when I installed the first

I have 65k on my 95SE. Contrary to some who mention that the SE has polyurethane bushings, when I looked at mine, they were black rubber. STill, they appeared to be intact and useable. I guess after hearing about your experience with ES, that I'm going to keep the stock bushings until they fail.

I have one of the first sets on my car. I originally had the first set of non-graphite injected polyurethane bushings on my car. I have never had a problem. There was a problem with the first batch of production bushings with some of them tearing. We found out the cause was not the bushings, but that they were mounted backwards. Check your service manual to make sure the slot is on the right side or they will tear.

Just checked mine and they're fine. The sway bar bushings and the end link bushings are all fine. I've only had them for about 10k miles though. I'll check them again after another few thousand miles. Thanx for the warnings though!
