Wow I don't even know where to start. Burnout's are just stupid no matter what, who gives a flyin F how much smoke you can get out of you're tires, all you're doing is melting away good rubber. Then that oversteer, stop and floor it deal, if thats what you guys call a drift, then congrats, but that was no drift. Finally anyone who is a "good driver" needs to be a good driver in all respects in not endangering other people and not being a moron and practicing personal safety by wearing a seatbelt. Going 120 in an auto max with two dudes filming you is nothing more than him being a poser for the camera, its really retarded and almost ended with you guys being splattered through the windshield.

Have fun with that, I will never be caught dead doing things like that unless I am 100% sure of the safety of myself and others in the car with me or near me.

You're a moron. A car is NOT to have fun in, maybe when you grow up you'll realize that. It IS to get you from point A to point B. Sure some of us obsess about how fast we can make our cars, and how nice they can be, but there's a reason we all have them, to get to where we have to go and thats that.

It's been awhile since I've posted here. So long in fact that I forgot my user/pass and created a new one. A friend of mine showed me this video today and I felt compelled to post. I read through the 5 pages of posts and this is what I have to say.

There is no such thing as an empty highway. That's like pointing a gun at a friend and pulling the trigger and using the reasoning that "it's safe because it's not loaded". You never make that assumption. Period. If you did crash your car on an empty highway please keep in mind that you are endangering the lives of the police/fire/rescue squads who are dispatched to scrape your body off of the pavement. You are also putting friends and family in a world of hurt. You are also contributing to raising my insurance rates. The highway clip was reckless.

re: burnouts. If burning tires is your thing, why not get some tires from a junkyard and set them on fire? I don't see the point. Oh, and I know how to have fun with my car. I just know when and where to have fun.

I can't believe that people are defending this clip. I will not STFU as one person suggested that I should. If we all say that this clip is really cool and awesome, we are only encouraging people to make more of these stupid and reckless videos. I'm well aware that there are videos of people racing Supras on the street at insane speeds and those people are morons in my book. I'm simply not impressed with high speed runs on public highways. Perhaps we'd have a different perspective if this video ended by the Maxima rear ending that car on the highway and everyone exited the car through the windshield. It didn't happen in the video but if we encourage this behavior it will happen to someone who decides to try it. Maybe not tomorrow, next week, maybe not to someone on this forum but it happens now and will continue to happen. Sadly enough, it's pefectly normal to feel invincible in our teenage-young adult years. It's part of developmental psychology. Unfortunately it's not true and many people find out the hard way. I'm glad that nobody was killed and there wasn't any property damage but that may not be the case next time.

I don't know about you, but I've never broken a law in my life. My pulse has never gone over 70bpm and the only time I ever get a hardon is after a 30 minute massage from my right hand. My Maxima is basic transportation and I don't understand why people would ever want to speed or smell burning rubber...

Seriously guys, lighten up. I can understand some of you being concerned with the highway stuff, but it didn't seem like the driver panicked or even fully slammed on the brakes, it probably looks a little scarier than it actually was for the driver. The drifts were cool, the streets were totally empty and he had friends watching the corner for him. And what is wrong with doing a few burnouts on cheapo tires? I know the mean age of a Maxima owner is likely a bit higher 240SX or EVO owner but this is starting to sound like something you'd hear in a Buick forum (if such a thing exists).

Would you rather he post clips of himself doing 65 on the highway or showing how to properly strap in a car seat? I know I enjoyed the clip and I understand some people will have problems with speeding on public roads, but there's no need to flame the guy.

this thread sucks

one or 2 posts from the ppl that said the same shyt is enough... you can quote it and agree with them, but posting the same exact shyt for 5 pages is a waste of bandwidth.

Well regardless of all the pro's and con's ( i use that term loosely ) in this thread, I dug your video man. Whether or not I agree with when/where/how you made it is irrelevant as that is my own personal opinion. Being just that, an opinion, I'll stay on topic and say "nice work" man. Have fun and be safe!
