exhaust recommendations

So I have to replace my exhaust from the Cat. back.. again.. and I think getting a performace exhaust will be better than just a regular stock one if I'm going to spend the money on it. I have a 96 and don't want it to wake up the whole neighborhood, but just to sound real nice. Any ideas?

GReddy! simply put its quiter and better sounding than the rest and thats what counts... other than that i would use any bpipe and the stock muffler.

remember their is almost NO performance upgrade with differnt mufflers mabe 1 or 2 hp it just basically makes the sounds quiter than without it.... so keep that in mind.
the b-pipe will add more hp, but not much more.

many people like sticking with the stock muffler because it is very quite, and when someone puts on a y-pipe it gets really loud (not to mention with air intake too)... so that makes it much friendlyer place to live.

enjoy.

I went under the car this week and my b-pipe is not looking to healthy. Mainly my resonator. Good time for an upgrade . I think I will just do an aftemarket b-pipe and keep the stock muffler to keep it as quiet as possible.

I have a Borla proxs muffler and custom pressure bent resonated 2.5" b pipe. It sounds very nice and quiet, but not too quiet. It gives a hint of it being aftermarket. When going WOT, its a very exotic car sound from the outside, but once again its not loud at all.

Is he asking about an exhaust for a CRX? NO! Why do you even bother posting on this forum?

terrible sound! it doesnt have a resonator so its even loader than the rest. quite frankly i hate it, good thing i didnt buy it, but im not waisting 450$ on a differnt exuast... thats just to much money... and remember the exuast doesnt make performance, it just quites the sound... the performance may be 1 or 2 hp but nothing you can really feel... use the stock one for better sound, tho more air flow using the Greedy will be prefeard.

no one mentioned cattman's? i like cattman's muffler. tuned, refined, "ferraiied". just kidding, but it doesn't sound bad at all. i went to a meet near my hometown, and that sound kicked everyone's ***. not too loud, and not ricey at all. it's a tuned exhaust in my opinion.
