seems at least 80% of us have this bog, hesitation problem

the mystery bog, hesitation stuttering problem is driving me insane, i've tested and pulled on and wiggled wires and replaced parts and thought and read and on and on for two friggin months now.

last night i spent an another hour wasting my time and the damn car kept on stalling. at least 17 times, sometimes every min., sometimes after 5 min. sometimes it would start right back up like nothing happened, other times it was laoded up and ran like ****. sounded like a boat !!!

i know alot of you have heard this from me before and i appreciate all the help and response, but somebodys got to figure this out !!!

i know there are alot of people with the same symptoms, but what about the stalling? seems electrical or sensor related but everthing seems to check out, still no codes. it just shuts down!!! has anybody tried a new or reprogramed pcm and had any luck???

With all the time, energy, and research you've spent.... and not figured it out, maybe it's time you brought it to a professional mechanic?

Better to spend money for it to be diagnosed than waste you time when you might be looking in the wrong areas.

It might nly cost a $100 or $200 or whatever to get it diagnosed and fixed. It could be something as simple as a vacuum leak. I would hate to see a 95SE be flogged just because the owner is having a tantrum, lol!

Never ...

I don't care how long it takes me, I have no faith in mecahnics and their knowledge to Maximas ... If you spent that long and that many times phukking with it ... myabe it was time to walk away and take a break ... A fresh mind is > than a tired/confused/frustated one.

a 1-200$ tantrum ..

what have you checked with the car?

If there is a org member in your area with diagnostic tool of their own, like on a laptop so you can monitor varous signals, this can help.

Have you done a vacuum test?

i've checked most of the harness, maf, egr,ks,plugs, coils, fuel flt, iacv, tps, etc. tryin the cts tommorow cuz its cheap, but after that ? recheck coils ? ecm ? i have a code scanner, nothing

i may have access to a snap-on diag. scanner this weekend.

vac test? besides spraying carb cleaner all around at diff. temps and rpms, i haven't checked yet for internal leaks.
thanx

Another alternative is to dish out $75 to have your problem diagnosed by a trustworthy mechanic, then fix it yourself and save a bunch of money. Between paying $75 and then fixing the car, or di<king around with a car trying to figure it out for months on end, I'd pay the money and get the problem solved so I could start enjoying the car again.... Just a thought.

I would definetly do a vacuum test. Would'nt hurt to check your fuel pressure also.

Did you check your grounds? Its easy to clean them off and it cant hurt. When I did my motor swap, I had a bad ground off the main wiring harness and it was for the o2 sensors, cam/crank sensors and a few other things. The bad ground would cause the car to stall out once it hit operating temp, after running another ground wire, it ran perfect.

The amount of money you would waste on a master/novice mechanic you could buy some serious tools to help you diagnose your problem. Do all the compression, vacuum and fuel pressure tests and then work towards testing the coil packs. Eventually you will find it if it isn't intake or sensor related you will eventually figure it out.

I say take it to Nissan.
And look in the bay, and see who has a ASE master mechanic certification, and ask for him to do the diagnostic on your car.
It costs $75.00, and if after weeks of troubleshooting nothing has been solved... its definately worth while.

Do you have a "broken" CEL screw? My screw on my 95 was broken. By this I mean when I went to check or reset a CEL the screw would keep turning. I would have to be very careful when resetting a CEL, specifically how many times I turned the screw and the position of the screw when I was done. If I did so incorrectly, the car would stall.

i've never touched the screw, fortunatly i have access to a scanner. but i could check it. i'm thinkin if the screw was " off " it would run bad all the time. last night i tried to get it to act up and it wouln't, in fact it ran perfect. had her goin a buck 20 on the parkway, never missed a beat. this morning, it stalled and sputtered the whole 5 miles to work !!!!!

i agree try cleaing your throttle body.. just get some carburator cleaner or throttle body cleaner from your local parts store.. and clean your throttle body.. then do some seafoam through the tank and in the intake manifold.. i did this and it cleared everything up on mine.. just a suggestion if you havent already tried that.. good luck

When I pulled my pcv valve out, it was almost completely blocked off. A new one seemed to fix the bog, and improved gas mileage too.

if it only does it when the engine is warm.. i would suggest one or more bad coil packs.. if it does it AS SOON AS you start the car when its cold.. its not them
