Uneven suspension settling

We installed Tokico illuminas + H&Rs yesterday and the drop looked even in the front and rear, but when I came outside today the rears were lower than the front. There's about 1 finger difference between the front and rear, is this normal? Is there a way to get the front and rear to match?

The set I helped install did the same thing. It was roughly 1/4" higher in the front.

The rear fenders are 1" shorter than the front fenders. The springs are fine.

There's nothing in the trunk except for the spare and OEM jack (oh and there was a box w/ Progress RSB in there overnight which is insignificant - only 20lbs)

How come it didn't look this way when it was stock and aren't rear springs supposed to be shorter anyway? By the way, I'm using Ben's rear shock mounts if it makes any difference.

H&Rs are known to sag a little in the rear. also you really need to give the setup a week or two to totally settle. mine did the same thing.

Just installed Illuminas and H&Rs, and noticed a slightly larger gap in the front as well. I read on an older thread that the type of tranny makes a difference. With the H&Rs, an auto-trans is likely to settle more evenly than a 5spd.

H&R's do not sag in the rear. If you look closely at a Maxima that is not lowered there is more of a gap in the front than the back.

hmmm, everything ive read says that they do - oh well.
but anyways yes the tranny also make a difference - my progress springs are supposed to produce a pretty even drop but bc my manual tranny weighs less it does make for kind of a sag in the rear.

Just measured the fender gap (w/trunk empty, no system), and the difference between the front and rear was a little less than 1/4". So yes, on my car the rear sags a little. Perhaps the sag is more of an optical illusion? Because, when I stand back from the car, the sag looks more pronounced.

I hope the springs settle a little more so that it looks more even. Nevertheless, I like the setup. At first I set the shocks at 5 all the way around and it was nice and firm but not harsh, although a little bouncy. Now I have them on 4 front and 3 rear and seems to be softer than stock and no more bouncing.

What settings do you guys/gals use?

H&R's are known for this. you should've gotten a true coilover system for a couple hundred more. if anything, ur ride quality woulda been the same or even better than what u have right now.

Front 3, rear 2 with crappy tires. Very compliant and comfy for daily driving.

For spirited drivers using better grip tires, at least front 4, rear 3 with a stiff RSB, as the car rolls over quite a bit under hard cornering.
