It just dries, cracks, and dies. No certain length of time or miles.

o2's seem to trigger the ks code for some odd reason on our cars. 2 yrs on a new ks don't sound right. Whatever type of o2 problems you maybe having must be foking with your ks.

forever. almost. there was a rumor that changing out the KS improves fuel efficiency cuz the ks loses sensitivity. i don't completely believe it.

My car - 6 years and 100,000 miles, original KS and I still get 28MPG on trips.

My buddies 98 I30 has just about 170,000 miles, original O2's, KS even the belts have never been changed. I think the only sensor on the car that's been changed was CPS (POS) when it didn't start one morning. The car runs perfect and still gets excellent gas mileage.

I think the KS replacement on this board is way over exaggurated.

It is. Most people see the code with other codes and replace everything instead of replacing parts one by one and doing the KS last. When I took my KS out, the plastic outside was in two peices because it was dried out and cracked. I have seen about three this way.

Fix all other codes and then check if 0304 still pops up.

i did fixed it but from time to time o2 s1b1 and ks comes up. i m sure u herard about my o2 drama, i took my car to compete diagnostic, she is 100% fine. but the cel keeps comming back.
is that true that even if u fixed o2 problem ,the only one who can erase that from computer memory its dealer ship. i have very good friend of my working for infiniti he is a service manedger, he will do reset for free , should i go and try it, or it wouldn't chenge anything.
