I'm 99% sure you just need to ground the horn wire for it to Sound... with my Airhorns I recall the instructions saying horns are either activated by reciving a +postive voltage or been grounded, I'm pretty sure ours was grounded.

Sooo just to test try grounding out the factory horn wire and see if horn goes

What the hell...2 things
1. That is one crazy right up.
2. I don't think there is enough support on the boards with the aftermarket steering wheels.

And may I add one more thing. I personally would hook it up to another button. Like say next to the dimmer or somewhere. Just install one of those push buttons.

Why don't you just run a new wire from your horns, thru the firewall and wire it up to the horn button on your aftermarket wheel? that would bypass the connector altogether ...when you hit the aftermarket button should ground the wire for the horn to go.

I'm not sure if this will help, but is sure easier then running more wires through the fire wall. This connector has a green wire with a white stripe, it is the horn wire. Ground it however you choose and your horn will honk.

While your at it you could make your highbeams come on while you honk, if you were into that type of thing. http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....34#post4200334

Also this won't work because being grounded at the horn isn't what makes them go. If your going to go this route, you need to have 12Volts going through a switch to the wire that goes to the horn at the horn. The only reason it needs to be grounded inside of the car is because that triggers the relay that then sends 12Volts to the horns. Does this make any sense? Sorry if it doesn't.

Okay well stick a relay on the horns lead, run a hot wire from battery to relay, run ground wire to the horn OR just run 12volts off your lighter to the horn switch

Why would you run more wires through your fire wall and through the engine bay when you don't have too?

Just cut that green wire with a white stripe, ground it, and throw a switch between it. Then you have your self a horn switch. I don't think there is an easier way then that.

u cant just do that..
doesnt the horn go through the clock spring..? i believe it does..
if you look at the original steering wheel and the plugs that connect ot eh clocksprng area.. you will notice the data line.. for cruise/volume/(possible horn)... if you posted this liek 4 days ago i could relaly helped cause i took off my steering to pu tin a preforated one.. (pics to come)... and i noticed that the airbag has a plug for it.. also the cruise ie.. and the horn wires up to it too.. but they all run thoguht the clock spring.. other wise.. when u turn the steering.. well it woudl rip out the wires.. or was it using the metal that hold it together as the signal line.. ill check on my old steering and give u an idea.. but do u still have the clock spring on the steering wheel hub.. with the MOMO?
