headlight problem
i had one of my my silverstars burn out. i had to replace the whole light and bulb adaptor wire thingy bought one from auto zone.
headlight is working but not as bright as other one. swapped bulbs and same result.
is there a relay for each bulb? checked connections all fine.
Any suggestions?
thanks.

did you replace the bulb with the same type of bulb?
when you say you swapped bulbs and got the same result, did the brigher side follow the bulb, or did the same side stay bright even after swapping the bulbs?

If it burned the actual bulb holder and you replaced it; the wire from the actual harness may be burnt and is adding resistance to the flow of current. You may have to ghetto rig it by taping off the low beam wire on that head light and running a new wire spliced from the low beam wire on the good light.

I've ran Silverstars and Narvas on several cars without any probs, other than the shorter - year or so - lifespan of a Silverstar or Narva over a stock bulb.

Not as bright,in high beam mode or low beam or both?
When swapped bulbs with same result, same result on the side where the new socket is or same result with same bulb on either side?
