Coil Blues???
I have a 96 GXE (5spd). It's about to flip 80k.
About 2 weeks ago at a light I stalled out. However it is getting progressively worse. This morning I start car, I could feel the car idling down like it was going to stall out, but the RPM's didn't dip. I leave in first and my car is just bogging out and jerking, I engage the clutch and it stops, shift too 2nd, all the way to work no problem.
I leave for lunch go to hit a turn in 3rd at cruising speed, engage the clutch and next thing I know I have total loss of power steering and everything else that comes with a stall OTW back from lunch I am in 5th on the freeway cruising at 80 and then I feel a loss of power and a second later it goes back to normal.
I recently had the Air/Fuel system cleaned out by my mechanic when I couldn’t hold idle at 700. Yes I am on the original plugs as far as I know. But from what I understand there 100k plugs, or could it be something else like my Ignition Coils?
Any help would be great. Thank You~

plugs are supposed to be changed after 60k. The first thing I would do is check the ECU, you might find a MAF or MAF wiring code. Then do a tune up-plugs, filters, and fluids. Clean your tb and iacv. and then see if it is the coil packs.

Check for codes. stickies are on the 4th gen page, if not go to a local auto store that pulls code for free (advanced auto parts, autozone)
I take it since sparks havent been changed the the whole 60k tune up wasnt done. Do it
