Has anybody modified their trunk so it opens all the way once you pop it with the door button or keyfob?

Its a great convience to have the remote trunk release, but it doesn't help much when your hands are full to reach under and open.

you have to increase the tension on the torque rods (springs) that are set to only counter balance the weight of the trunk lid. there doesn't seem to be anyway to up the tension on the factory torsion bars that i've been able to come up with. it seems like parts replacement is the answer, but i don't have any idea of where to find the parts needed.

 

Thats what I thought, with the torque rods... anyone?

 

go into the audio sectec and look up the write up on the gas shock method it'll do wonders
